FOKANA - Federation of Keralite Associations

FOKANA (Federation of Keralite Associations in North America) serves as the umbrella organization representing Malayalee associations across North America and Canada. Since its founding in 1983, FOKANA has established itself as a globally recognized institution dedicated to preserving North American Malayalee integrity while promoting Kerala's rich cultural identity. The mobile application connects members of the Malayalee community with cultural events, association activities, community news, networking opportunities, and resources that help maintain cultural traditions while building community connections across North America and Canada.

The dispersed Malayalee community across North America and Canada needed a centralized platform to stay connected with cultural events, association activities, and community initiatives while maintaining their cultural identity in a foreign land.

Developing a mobile application that served the diverse needs of 55+ member associations representing millions of Malayalees required creating comprehensive event management features, community networking capabilities, multilingual support, and cultural content delivery while fostering community engagement across vast geographic distances.
